About Us
GLSEN New Mexico is a queer and trans affirming non-profit dedicated to providing support and resources for our school communities. The New Mexico chapter began in 2013 and has been working to create safer schools for all students and educators across New Mexico since then.
We are a grassroots initiative, working locally in our community to ensure safe schools for all students, regardless of sexual orientation and gender. There are 43 Chapters around the country doing this important work.
GLSEN is the champion of LGBTQ+ issues in K-12 education, eliminating anti-LGBTQ+ bias and violence in schools today and laying the foundation of respect for all in the future.
